08/15 PID + Aliso Creek + Ridgeline
Good news, Rebel Riders! The weather’s cooling down, and since I’m sitting this Saturday out, you get the absolute privilege of doing PID. I know what you’re thinking: "Edwin is at it again..." (valid), but this route is not as brutal as last time! Best of all, while you’re grinding up PID, I’ll be comfortably lounging with coffee and donuts, deeply relieved that I’m nowhere near that miserable hill. ☕🍩🚴♂️ As always clip-on time 8:30 RWGPS: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/

8/8/26 - OCRR Remote Ride - Palos Verdes
Let's avoid the heat again this weekend and head to PV! The ride around the Palos Verdes peninsula is always a favorite with its great views, ocean breezes and the Malaga Cove fountain. Did I mention the challenging climbs?! Which includes the mega steep road up into the peacock neighborhood. When we spot our first peacock we get to turn around :-) https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54257351 Clip-in at 9:00 am at Eastview Park, 1721 Westmont Dr, San Pedro. Check out our Faceb

8/1/26 🌊 OC Rebels Saturday Ride: Coastal Recovery Ride to Seal Beach 😎
Hello OC rebels, After the last few hard weekends and our ambitious climbing routes, I think we’ve earned a bit of a break. Add in the forecast calling for some scorching temperatures, and there’s only one logical destination… Seal Beach! 🌴☀️ We’ll head up the coast to one of our all-time favorite sleepy beach towns, taking in the beautiful views along the way. This ride is mostly flat, with scenic stretches through Back Bay and the Bolsa Chica Wetlands—some of the best vie

Views Worth the Vertical - 7/25/26
🚨 Attention Rebels: prepare your legs, your lungs, and your questionable decision-making skills… because we’re chasing an ocean view this Saturday. 🌊😎 This week we’re rolling down to Dana Point — but naturally, we can’t just ride there. That would be too easy. Instead, we’ll kick things off with a little Laguna Niguel “welcome to the pain cave” warm-up. 😈 These climbs are steep. They’re relentless. They may briefly convince you that selling your bike and taking up a relax

7/18 OCRR Laguna Beach/Newport Coast
Potentially higher temperatures bring us out to the coast for scenic climbs in Laguna Beach followed by equally scenic climbs up on Newport Coast. After the climbing is done, we're rewarded with a thrilling downhill to Back Bay and return to the park via University. Various bike paths will be utilized. 2 routes are offered. The long route goes up Temple Hills Dr to TOW as well as the Vista Ridge/Ridge Park climb in Newport Coast. The shorter route includes Bluebird Canyon an

🇺🇸🚴 OC Rebels 4th of July Tradition – GMR to Baldy Village ⛰️
Hello OC rebels, It’s that time again! Our annual 4th of July ride up Glendora Mountain Road and Glendora Ridge Road to Mt. Baldy Village. This year, the 4th of July falls on a Saturday, making it the perfect way to celebrate Independence Day! Even better, the road from Glendora Ridge Road to Baldy Village will be closed to vehicle traffic and open only to cyclists, giving us a rare opportunity to enjoy one of Southern California’s most iconic climbs without cars. Expect amaz

O6/27 Newport + PID + Golden Lantern (Extra Tough)
Since I’ll be out of town and unable to suffer alongside you, tradition dictates that I must torture you in absentia. Therefore, I have lovingly selected a route featuring a hill I absolutely detest: PID. Is it unfair? Absolutely. Is it hilarious to think about from the comfort of my out-of-town getaway? You bet. For those of you burdened with the curse of common sense, please note there are plenty of shortcuts. Use them. If I were there, I’d already have three excuses lined
